Foreign languages are learned naturally and easily by the age of 6. That is why learning English is not our educational goal, but a means of communication. We believe and our work proves it that the early introduction to а foreign language is the best way to learn it by speaking and understanding it in a natural way.
We perform our daily activities in both languages - Bulgarian and English, encouraging the child’s curiosity in different situations.
The program for the children from the first group is not split in separate lessons. Different activities build upon each other, based on the child’s natural ability to play and create.
The activities for the older children are focused on their social skills, development of mathematical and logical thinking and all preparatory activities for reading and writing.
Creativity is a key approach in our daily routine. The program is in accordance with the leading Reggio Emilia Approach methodology, placing the child and its needs first. Neither the system, nor the goal are the focus, but the child itself – with its potential, which is waiting to be discovered and developed through multilingual education. These are the basis for encouraging its creative talents. Through various art projects in our workshops “Let’s sing a fairy tale!” and “Theater Workshop” we help children develop their personal perception of the world around them. Our educators give examples, help in the process of creating the project, but leave the important and basic work of art as a choice and personal sense of the individual child.
We follow the rules of proper behavior and etiquette (for instance, how to behave in the theater and at an art exhibition, how to talk and express opinions, listen patiently and ask questions, be able to use the right utensils, arrange a table, flowers, gifts and many other “golden” rules). Presented in the form of a game, the etiquette of proper behavior is easily learned and becomes part of everyday life. Thus, good manners become a natural part of children’s expression.
The program also includes short hikes, during which children learn how to orienteer in nature and explore it. They learn various skills necessary for a longer stay in the forest. They also participate in various games related to ecology and environmental protection. Thanks to these activities, children learn practical skills for dealing with difficult situations, learn the rules of behavior in nature as well as useful tips for unusual phenomena (for example, how and what to do during storms, rain and fog, how to read the signs and more).
A Day in the Kindergarten
Children can enter the kindergarten area at 8:00. The program begins at 8:30 a.m. and ends at 5:30 p.m. The program for children from preschool groups (6-7 years old) starts at 8:30 am and ends at 4:30 pm.
Healthy Eating
Children are provided with healthy and tasty food, which is rich in nutrients – vitamins, minerals and fiber. It meets all quality and hygiene standards. Children eat 5 times a day:
· breakfast;
· two snacks – fruits or vegetables;
· lunch – at lunch the children have a choice between two meals, or they can take both, additional portions are provided;
· snack.
There is a food corner available for children, where they can easily get fresh fruits and vegetables whenever they want. Our goal is to make it a habit for them to eat a lot of fruits and vegetables every day.
Our kindergarten cares not only about the healthy selection of food, but also about the aesthetics of the process. The atmosphere is pleasant and the children use two types of napkins – textile and paper ones. They know their purpose and method of use. The children use the full range of utensils. They learn to eat slowly, calmly and with pleasure.
Health
The kindergarten provides constant medical surveillance and daily examinations. The medical room is perfectly equipped. The specialist who takes care of your children has many years of experience in the field of pediatrics. She is committed to monitoring the process, ensuring safety, and is ready to respond at all times. She takes care both of the physical health of the children (hygiene of the food and space, temperature and humidity of the air, daily preventive health examinations) and of their overall development.
